The Bolingbrook Area Chamber of Commerce held their 12th Annual Best of Bolingbrook (BOBB) Awards banquet on Thursday, March 10 at the Bolingbrook Golf Club with Grove Dental Associates being awarded the coveted the 2016 Best of Bolingbrook Business Award.  “We are excited to be receiving this award from the Bolingbrook Chamber and look forward to serving the Bolingbrook community,” said Dr. Mina Chung, owner.

Known as one of the western suburbs best business award events, the evening sponsors included ATI Physical Therapy, COTG-A Xerox Company and G & W Electric.

Jim Galbraith of Advantage Chevrolet of Bolingbrook was presented with the Business Leadership Award, by Village Clerk Carol Penning. “I may be the individual that you see at the golf outings and fund raisers but am just part of the Advantage Chevrolet of Bolingbrook team,” said Galbraith.

Mayor Roger C. Claar was present to bestow the 2016 Lifetime Achievement Award to Larry Greenwich of DuAll Heating and Cooling.  “It is truly humbling to receive this award in the company of past winners, Thank you Bolingbrook Chamber of Commerce,” said Greenwich

“Individuals like Larry Greenwich, Jim Galbraith and Robyn and Todd McBroom are the backbone of businesses that make Bolingbrook a great Village for Business,” said Rey Aguayo, Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Bolingbrook Area Chamber and Owner/Agent for American Family Insurance in Bolingbrook. “The Bolingbrook Chamber is fortunate to have members that are not only successful in their business but also help out the community.”

“I would like to congratulate and recognize the accomplishments of our finalists,” said BOBB Chair Christine Mayer, “whose support and community involvement have made Bolingbrook the amazing place so many of us choose to work and/or call home.”  Other Category winners for the evening included: Southwest Suburban Immigrant Project in the  Civic and Government category; Southern Wines and Spirits for Large Business; West Suburban Bank for Midsize Business; The Beer Market for Restaurant and Hospitality; for Retail; Cali Girl Cakes for Small Business; and Rising Star Award (in business less than 3 years) went to  EmbroidMe.

The entire event and record breaking attendance of almost 500 was hosted and entertained by Chicago comedian Patrick “Pat”  McGann and the Music of Bopology.  Scott McKay of 95.9 the River interviewed finalists for later televising on BCTV. “All finalists received a certificate and deserved to win. I would like to congratulate all who participated,” said O’Keeffe

There were over 90 nominations received and a total of 39 finalist’s questionnaires that were reviewed by an independent set of judges. All nominees should be proud of the recognition and with nearly 600 members in the Chamber, it is an honor just to be nominated.
